Jessica Hendrix “Jessy” Brown brings a lifelong connection to Hoke County to her service on the Hoke County Board of Education. A graduate of Hoke County High School, she later spent approximately 12 years working for Hoke County Schools in roles involving career and technical education, administration, and workforce programs. That experience gave her firsthand insight into the opportunities available to students as they prepare for college, training, and careers. Brown is also the owner and publisher of The News-Journal, a role that keeps her closely connected to local people and community issues. As a board member, she draws on her experience as a student, school system employee, and local publisher while helping guide decisions about the future of Hoke County Schools. To learn more about Jessica Brown, her leadership experience, service to Hoke County Schools, and work on the Hoke County Board of Education, you can read more in the upcoming first edition of the We Are Hoke Magazine.
